Acupressure
is a safe and noninvasive ancient healing art based on the same energy
meridians used in traditional acupuncture. Instead of needles, light pressure
is applied to specific points in order to re-establish energy balance
throughout the body.
Acupressure
can be used in countless physical conditions including but not limited to,
musculoskeletal conditions (hip dysplasia, arthritis, degenerative myelopathy,
etc.), gastro-intestinal problems (IBD, megacolon), urinary diseases,
reproductive and endocrine/hormonal disorders. Emotional conditions are also highly responsive to
acupressure.
The use
of a “slimstick” makes it possible
to give acupressure to animals that are more touch sensitive. This modality works equally well for
dogs, cats, rabbits, etc.
